o Severe craving or alcohol

Moderate alcohol detox appear in patients who are physically dependent on alcohol like:

o Shakiness

o Vomiting

o Fatigue

o Headaches

o Dilated pupils

o Sweating in palms

o Rapid heart rate

o Involuntary or abnormal body movements

Whereas, severe alcohol detox symptoms include disturbing and intense symptoms of:

o Blackouts

o Loss of entire periods of memory

o Physical convulsions

o Fever

o Emotional agitation

o Extreme anxiety or irritability

It is advised by physicians as well as doctors who treat alcohol addiction carefully to monitor the patient even after he has successfully completed the detox treatment. Alcohol detox symptoms are an issue of concern where health of the patient is involved since some aftereffects of the treatment pose as threat to the patients’ health.
